Someone once said, “There’s no magic in the world”
And maybe there isn’t.
Or maybe you just don’t want there to be.
If you don’t want to see it.
I read today “The magic in the world never left, we only forget to believe in it. It’s still there and all we have to do is let it show itself.”
The magic isn’t hiding. We are.
When we were kids and used to believe in fairies, dragons, wizards, mermaids, and everything in between. Anything was possible. The magic was still there in our eyes. People wouldn’t tell us the truth because it was all fun and games.
But as we got older we let the world knock it out of us. We let reason and evil pour into us. The people started to tell us that it was all make believe. Our eyes sparkled less and was filled with this dullness.
But that magic doesn’t need to be lost. It is too early in the game to give up. “Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game”
You can still believe in magic. You can still believe in the impossible. We can have the mindset that all hopes and possibilities come true. You can do anything you want. No one can tell you differently.
We can still believe in wizards, fairies, dragons, and mermaids. We can still look at the world and see something beautiful. I am not going to lie and say that the world isn’t broken and cruel. Because it is. Bad things happen to good people everyday and good things happen to bad people everyday. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t any good. That all magic is lost. It just means it is that much harder to find it.
We just have to keep your eyes open. “Cause if you never leave home, never let go. You’ll never make it to the great unknown. Open up your eyes. Keep your eyes open.” This song by NEEDTOBREATHE is a perfect example of this. We just have to get outside of your comfort zone to really see what the world has to offer us. We can see the beauty in the world just by looking at the world around us.
We can look at the ocean or the mountains. At a baby animal or prairie filled with flowers. We can watch the sunrise and set castings its colors across the sky. We can still wish on shooting stars and gaze up at the moon. We can still lay on a field and guess what that loud is.
Don’t ever forget to believe in magic. It is what makes life worth living.
